Time for contraction

Over the last few years our lives have been filled with expansion. For some it comes from within. For others it has been the external forces surrounding us, that have taken us on a journey. I know for many this has felt like a virtuous circle, going around and around and around. Until we learn the lesson and evolve from that way of thinking.

A few years ago I attended a Deepak Chopra seminar, in which he explained that the seer, the seeing and the scene are all the same. I drift in and out of this understanding. It's strange I cannot decipher at times the 'oneness' of it all. But then I dramatically understand the connections and see pathways of this interaction in my life and others around me.

I think it is true to say that we know more than we think we know.

Trust seems to be a big word that is cropping up all over the place at the moment. So as we consider today, trust in yourself. Breathe, remind yourself that the present is what we have to work with and be content to reflect and contract yourself inwards and learn to trust yourself and others again. The results can be breathtaking.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

It's all in the numbers!

Now I am not sure if ANYONE else has noticed this. But there is something going on numerically in the world.
5.11.2008

The date that America saw a radical shift in their 'UNITED STATES' and witnessed the election of a Obama.

Has anyone else noticed that it's also the same day as GUY FAWKES DAY!

5.11.1605

Now I am not a numerologist, but I KNOW there is a link here. Can anyone shed some light?

:Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
:the Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
:I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.
:Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent to blow up King and Parliament.
:Three-score barrels were laid below to prove old England's overthrow;
:By God's mercy he was catch'd with a dark lantern and lighted match.
:Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
:Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!
:Hip hip hoorah!
HAVE WE NOT JUST WITNESSED THE OVERTHROW OF THE REPUBLICANS IN AMERICA?

Doing what's right for you

I had an interesting dilemma last night. You see I try and be all things to all people. To be generous of time and all giving to my parents and family. But something has been gnawing at this approach. Something has been gnawing at this level of expectation that I have created for myself and those around me. I think it's about the law of detachment and letting go, quite frankly how can you be all things to all people if you don't put yourself first? And I don't mean to the detriment of others. More so it is for the betterment of others that you put yourself first. ie. If I had agreed to my 'fathers' agenda I would have been annoyed that I had to 'cancel' an event that I, and my partner had been looking forward to for some time. I would have been 'resentful' that I was playing to 'his' schedule and not mine. This is where it pays to 'catch' yourself and take a moment to understand where the feeling or emotion is coming from, acknowledge it, understand it and take the best approach that is in alignment with what you want to create for yourself. I don't see it as ego management -although I am sure many would say that it is. I think it's more about stopping and smelling the roses and doing what feels right for you.

Namaste. Time to get a coffee.

The little humming Bee

I have been surrounded by Bees today, so I googled what my little Totem meant:-

Fertility and the Honey of Life, Accomplishing the Impossible

Bees are the symbol of fertility and sexuality.
Its honeycomb, a hexagon, is the symbol of the heart and
represents the sweetness of life found within our own heart.
It is also the symbol of the sun and all its energies.

The bee reminds us to extract the honey of life
and to make our lives fertile (productive) while the sun shines.
No matter how great the dream is, there is the promise of fulfillment
if we pursue our dreams.

If a Bee has shown up in your life, examine your own productivity.
Are you doing all you can to make your life more fertile?
Are you busy enough?
Are you making time to savor the honey of life and not becoming a workaholic?

The Bee is the symbol of accomplishing the impossible.
Aerodynamically, its body is too large for its wings and should not be able to fly.
Although now we understand how it does fly (high rate of wing movement),
the Bee remains a symbol of accomplishing anything you put your mind to.

In Hinduism, the Bee relates to Vishnu, Krishna or Kama, the God of Love.
In Egypt, the Bee symbolized royalty.
In Greece, it was the symbol of the Eleusinian Mysteries.
The Celts associated the Bee with hidden wisdom.

What a lovely lesson today.

When you just know

Yesterday was glorious, it was a beautiful day when the sun shone and the birds were alive with conversation. I think today is going to be another one. I love spring! It brings new adventures, new beginnings and new conversations.

Recently I have been fraught with some anxst over my next professional step, I know where I want to go but I am having trouble lifting the veil from where I am to where I want to be. I have been learning to let go of attachments and to trust that everything happens for a reason. This has not been so hard ... (YEAH RIGHT!) as I do believe that everything happens for a reason - so it's interesting to note that some of our strongest beliefs about ourselves get misaligned with our everyday lives. (will have to ponder that one) We get so caught up in the day to day activities, that we need to ground and lift ourselves back to where we are and where we would like to go. Oftentimes our heart and our head need to rewire the conversation otherwise blocks form and we find our bodies showing us where the anxst lies - some of us are intuitive enough to interpret this for ourselves, othertimes we need a teacher, and one came to me yesterday. Reinforcing my own ability to interpret what is going in within me she's a keeper this one 'Sarah the Beautiful' enjoy!
