Time for contraction

Over the last few years our lives have been filled with expansion. For some it comes from within. For others it has been the external forces surrounding us, that have taken us on a journey. I know for many this has felt like a virtuous circle, going around and around and around. Until we learn the lesson and evolve from that way of thinking.

A few years ago I attended a Deepak Chopra seminar, in which he explained that the seer, the seeing and the scene are all the same. I drift in and out of this understanding. It's strange I cannot decipher at times the 'oneness' of it all. But then I dramatically understand the connections and see pathways of this interaction in my life and others around me.

I think it is true to say that we know more than we think we know.

Trust seems to be a big word that is cropping up all over the place at the moment. So as we consider today, trust in yourself. Breathe, remind yourself that the present is what we have to work with and be content to reflect and contract yourself inwards and learn to trust yourself and others again. The results can be breathtaking.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

It's all in the numbers!

Now I am not sure if ANYONE else has noticed this. But there is something going on numerically in the world.
5.11.2008

The date that America saw a radical shift in their 'UNITED STATES' and witnessed the election of a Obama.

Has anyone else noticed that it's also the same day as GUY FAWKES DAY!

5.11.1605

Now I am not a numerologist, but I KNOW there is a link here. Can anyone shed some light?

:Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
:the Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
:I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.
:Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent to blow up King and Parliament.
:Three-score barrels were laid below to prove old England's overthrow;
:By God's mercy he was catch'd with a dark lantern and lighted match.
:Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
:Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!
:Hip hip hoorah!
HAVE WE NOT JUST WITNESSED THE OVERTHROW OF THE REPUBLICANS IN AMERICA?

Doing what's right for you

I had an interesting dilemma last night. You see I try and be all things to all people. To be generous of time and all giving to my parents and family. But something has been gnawing at this approach. Something has been gnawing at this level of expectation that I have created for myself and those around me. I think it's about the law of detachment and letting go, quite frankly how can you be all things to all people if you don't put yourself first? And I don't mean to the detriment of others. More so it is for the betterment of others that you put yourself first. ie. If I had agreed to my 'fathers' agenda I would have been annoyed that I had to 'cancel' an event that I, and my partner had been looking forward to for some time. I would have been 'resentful' that I was playing to 'his' schedule and not mine. This is where it pays to 'catch' yourself and take a moment to understand where the feeling or emotion is coming from, acknowledge it, understand it and take the best approach that is in alignment with what you want to create for yourself. I don't see it as ego management -although I am sure many would say that it is. I think it's more about stopping and smelling the roses and doing what feels right for you.

Namaste. Time to get a coffee.

The little humming Bee

I have been surrounded by Bees today, so I googled what my little Totem meant:-

Fertility and the Honey of Life, Accomplishing the Impossible

Bees are the symbol of fertility and sexuality.
Its honeycomb, a hexagon, is the symbol of the heart and
represents the sweetness of life found within our own heart.
It is also the symbol of the sun and all its energies.

The bee reminds us to extract the honey of life
and to make our lives fertile (productive) while the sun shines.
No matter how great the dream is, there is the promise of fulfillment
if we pursue our dreams.

If a Bee has shown up in your life, examine your own productivity.
Are you doing all you can to make your life more fertile?
Are you busy enough?
Are you making time to savor the honey of life and not becoming a workaholic?

The Bee is the symbol of accomplishing the impossible.
Aerodynamically, its body is too large for its wings and should not be able to fly.
Although now we understand how it does fly (high rate of wing movement),
the Bee remains a symbol of accomplishing anything you put your mind to.

In Hinduism, the Bee relates to Vishnu, Krishna or Kama, the God of Love.
In Egypt, the Bee symbolized royalty.
In Greece, it was the symbol of the Eleusinian Mysteries.
The Celts associated the Bee with hidden wisdom.

What a lovely lesson today.

When you just know

Yesterday was glorious, it was a beautiful day when the sun shone and the birds were alive with conversation. I think today is going to be another one. I love spring! It brings new adventures, new beginnings and new conversations.

Recently I have been fraught with some anxst over my next professional step, I know where I want to go but I am having trouble lifting the veil from where I am to where I want to be. I have been learning to let go of attachments and to trust that everything happens for a reason. This has not been so hard ... (YEAH RIGHT!) as I do believe that everything happens for a reason - so it's interesting to note that some of our strongest beliefs about ourselves get misaligned with our everyday lives. (will have to ponder that one) We get so caught up in the day to day activities, that we need to ground and lift ourselves back to where we are and where we would like to go. Oftentimes our heart and our head need to rewire the conversation otherwise blocks form and we find our bodies showing us where the anxst lies - some of us are intuitive enough to interpret this for ourselves, othertimes we need a teacher, and one came to me yesterday. Reinforcing my own ability to interpret what is going in within me she's a keeper this one 'Sarah the Beautiful' enjoy!

Stephen Hawking: Asking big questions about the universe

This video from TED 2008 is one of my favorites. enjoy

Take a break

If there is one single message that I wanted to blog about today it would be to 'Take a break' and slow down from this thing we call time. After all time is just an illusion. An agreed reality of the 3 dimensional human form. We tend to think of time as a line or a flow, something with a sequential pattern, second after second, minute after minute, hour after hour, day after day, etc, etc. However what if you were to consider that time was just 1 dimension, like a flat surface that extends in all directions and just is? Remember the scene in the Matrix when Nero and Morpheus both "jump"/ "project" themselves into the game, they are in a white space with no particular dimensional surface. Perhaps that is the best example of time as a 'singular' dimension.

Or consider the universe and the fact that it in itself is expanding, therefore as we measure the distance of one star to another through "time" time itself must be expanding. Can I add another layer?

If we are all matter (and matter is just a collection of particles to form something) and we are apart of the universe, then we are in fact expanding.

Therefore consciousness itself is expanding. Which would then explain why many humans are feeling more and more stressed, yet a sense that there is 'something' else bigger and greater as their consciousness expands. Moreover if consciousness is expanding, our Subconsciousness and our Superconsciousness is expanding ... well no wonder we all need to take a break once and a while!

Sit still, take a breath and go within.

Peace, Love and Mungbeans people.

The White Knight and his Talisman

Everyone has a Talisman.

This morning whilst on my walk this morning with the white knight, we saw his Talisman. A beautiful Sulfur Crested Cockatoo that swooped down and directly through our path. It was a sign for him, not sure what he was thinking of at that exact moment or moreover what he had been thinking about for a while. Whatever it was he received his validation.
Magic.

Birthday Chaos

Was it written in the stars? Am I destined to be the great mediator of families? Little did I know what the universe had in store for me yesterday! A simple sunday birthday brunch was the order of the day. 12 special friends were invited, 9 confirmed and 2 were a maybe... (pending the saturday night-my boyfriend-just-dumped-me-so-I'm heading out-wearing-my-shortest-shorts-and-painting-the-town-red-disclaimer**so might be a bit hungover).

So the plan was set and the menu confirmed.

First it started to rain, then the usual round of birthday phonecalls ensued from family situated across australia ... small levels of anxiety (being the perfectionist virgo) began as the running sheet was lost and my 5 x 3m townhouse was not going to fit all of these people!!!

And then more surprises, 2 more family members wanted to 'drop' in with their children ... so what should have been 9 sitting outside under my lovely garden umbrella turned into 13 adults, 4 kids and a dog sheltering from the elements!

Well the 2 siblings and respective partners broke their 4 year sabbatical of family silence, the 4 kids met cousins they didn't know existed, 2 snag's did the washing up in the 2 x1m kitchen, more champagned flowed and planet pizza came to the rescue and fed the remaining crew at 7.30pm!

And now I understand from Mr Cainer himself:
Your sign is Virgo. Your planet is Mercury. Your middle name is 'smart.' There's nothing you can do about this. You were born clever. Quick. sharp-minded. Fast-thinking. Sometimes, too much so for your own good. You don't always let others see how bright you truly are, but you are always careful who you listen to, what advice you take and who you allow you help you. Right now, you've got an urgent situation to sort out. Mercury is standing still, forming a conjunction to Mars. Nothing will go forward till you go back to the past, clear up an issue and move on. To do this, you'll need an assistant or companion you can trust. Thankfully, one is on hand.

and then there was:

The September Full Moon (all weekend). It frequently brings a tight focus on some big issue. Whatever this turns out to be for each of us, we find we can think of little else. By tonight, the Moon will be past full and more of us will see a wider picture.

Perhaps I am the mediator after all.

I love spring

Stop and smell the roses

What a beautiful day. I have spent a magical morning with my beautiful boyfriend down on Balmoral Beach. Wandering over the rocks, listening to the ocean and simply being present. Divine. I feel more at peace today than I have in a few days. Nature always brings us back our equilibrium. A calmness of breath and the expansion of time to just be.

Namaste

September 2008

Now it's all beginnning to make sense:

September 2008

Jupiter the planet of Abundance and Pluto, the plant of Transformation goes direct this month. If you have been feeling a contraction around money and obstacles to your big plans then this is why. Lately the emphasis has been on personal and spiritual growth instead of material growth. A reminder that Mercury, the planet of communication goes retrograde on the 24th September till the 15th of October. Try to hold off buying electrical equipment, signing papers and always take care with security. Things are always a little unsafe in this period. Trust your instinct and enjoy the shift and spring of September.

Whilst here I recommend you check out this fabulous new website for spiritually minded business entrepreneurs!

Well doesn't that just wrap up the feelings for the month so far ... the universe is again delivering to me that which I most need to learn and act upon and I know what this is.

It is an idea, a moment of inspiration that has been shadowing me for the last 2 years and it is time to draw the idea into a vision, the vision into a plan and the plan into an action.

I have just ordered a copy of The Spiritual Business Book and Cards to support me on this new business journey. They look beautiful.

A tough week

So all in all it's been a very tough week this week. In fact I can say that a momentum started last week on the 28th. I have been looking into the planets to see what is about and it seems that Mars is dancing and playing havoc in the sky.

Just when I think I might have the beginnings of things sorted out I feel all mentally cluttered again. A deep part of my psyche wants to have a high level of professional recognition and the positive attributes that accompany such a social position in the world. But I can't help thinking ... where and why and what for?

I feel like my spirit is welling and wants me to clear something else up ... but I don't know what it is?

I have been asking my angels for signs and 2 days running I have had contact with motorbikes. Now a long time ago I actually won a ducatti helmet and I keep thinking ... what is the symbol of a motorbike? Freedom, control? What does it stand for? Being an individual, taking risks? I feel like I have taken a lot of actions that haven't worked out. To what level do a make a change? Obviously for things to change I need to make the change in my behaviours and my actions ... like Ghandi said

"Be the change you wish to see in the world"

What do I want to see and what do I want to be?

Definitions of 'The Self'

SELF
–noun
1. a person or thing referred to with respect to complete individuality: one's own self.
2. a person's nature, character, etc.: his better self.
3. personal interest.
4. Philosophy.
a. the ego; that which knows, remembers, desires, suffers, etc., as contrasted with that known, remembered, etc.
b. the uniting principle, as a soul, underlying all subjective experience.
–adjective
5. being the same throughout, as a color; uniform.
6. being of one piece with or the same material as the rest: drapes with a self lining.
7. Immunology. the natural constituents of the body, which are normally not subject to attack by components of the immune system (contrasted with nonself).
8. Obsolete. same.
–pronoun
9. myself, himself, herself, etc.: to make a check payable to self.
–verb (used with object), verb (used without object)
10. to self-pollinate.

Well, no wonder I am confused! Look at our agreed reality of what the word 'SELF' actually means! All about the context I hear you say? Indeed, context is everything. But how do we verify for our own sense of self, our sense of our own identity. Because is not the ego different to the soul? Of course it is. The ego is our mind, our belief system it is not who we really are ... we are our spirit ... hmmm still confused about all this ...

Where to begin this exploration of self?

In the last few years I have been on a journey of personal development. I have been to many seminars, retreats and events that have covered a plethora of topics; enlightenment, awareness, meditation, health and wellbeing, trust, thought leadership, finance, business strategy, internet marketing, book publishing, yoga .... I am sure there have been others because for the last few years I have been searching. Searching for ways to get my business off the ground, wondering if my career in brand strategy and design is right for me? My astrological chart says that I am very creative and of course I was creative at school and I did my degree in Visual Communication! However have I lost my creativity in my commercialisation of it? It is a question that I have pondered more than once over the past 5 years and in recent years have of coursed discovered that we have 'inifinite possibilities' and that we are in fact limitless in essence but what about our self? Or in fact our sense of self? What is that all about?

Searching, searching, searching...
